Alexis is a South Dakota native who joined Woods Fuller in 2017. Alexis is a litigator with a focus on government liability, family law, and insurance defense. Alexis is admitted to practice in South Dakota state court, the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Alexis is also a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, the Second Circuit Bar, DRI, and the South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining Woods Fuller, Alexis played college basketball for Iowa State University and the University of South Dakota. While in law school, Alexis graduated with Sterling Honors (top 10%), served as an editor on the South Dakota Law Review and research Assistant to Professor and Tribal Judge Frank Pommersheim, and competed in national trial team competitions. Immediately following law school, Alexis served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence L. Piersol of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.
Outside the courtroom, Alexis enjoys playing basketball, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.
